Boilerexams was founded in 2020 by two Purdue freshmen who saw a need for a studying platform to help students adapt to the college exam environment. The first iteration was built in a few weeks over the summer and deployed for the first midterm cycle of fall 2020. It grew in popularity over the years, but its hastily designed site limited the founders’ ability to expand. In the spring of 2023, they began recruiting a team for a full redesign.
